Gazprom says pumping across Ukraine rises 15% on Wednesday

MOSCOW, Feb 15 (PRIME) -- The confirmed amount of Russian gas shipments to Europe across Ukraine increased by 15% on the day to 35.3 million cubic meters on Wednesday, Gazprom said in a statement.

"Gazprom transits Russian gas across the territory of Ukraine in the amount confirmed by the Ukrainian side at the Sudzha metering station at 35.3 million cubic meters as of February 15,” spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov said as cited by the company.

“A request for the Sokhranovka metering station was declined."

In May, Ukraine stopped transit of Russian gas via the Sokhranovka station saying it is located on the territory controlled by Russians leaving the Sudzha station the only entry point. Gazprom said then that the entire flow cannot technically be shifted to Sudzha.
